I'm trying to keep on to my decision to post regularly but without stress, not only to share what is actually finished but maybe also whatever I'm starting, trying, creating, that is the little moments of color and pleasure.
So I'm talking about colors, and look at this pair of earrings.
I had chosen the ceramic connectors by Happy Fish and needed three more days to complete them when finally ideas came around. It looks quite obvious to me now, but at the time I had no clue.

To add some colors I decorated one of my notebooks I had previously painted in black. I had a lot of fun, glueing and playing with the shapes and colors, like kids do.
Then I decided to start weaving on a loom. I love the freedom of bead weaving without a loom but I thought it was time to try a new technique and to use some of the patterns I have collected over the years, so I chose one in Heidi Kummli's The Spirit of Bead Embroidery, I chose my colors and I started. The first row was quite difficult, but after that it was quite ok, I hope it remains this way. I have to admit I'm a bit anxious about the ending. I'll see when I get there.
Et pour finir, quelques perles reçues hier,
And finally some beads, I got yesterday in the mail,

I like your notebook, it looks very vibrant and inspiring and so does your bead weaving. Even though I have a textile background, I am quite scared of bead weaving, with or without a loom.
RépondreSupprimersuch beautiful creativity at your place! I love Jana's beads, and you created such a pretty pair of earrings with those fish! But I absolutely love the art work with the Native Indian drummer. Fantastic!
