I had a hard time to finish this one.
I got a load of beautiful beads from Lisa Lodge of A Grateful Artist - Pine Ridge Treasures for the Checkerboard Blog Hop.
But I didn't take any pictures.
I've had the beads for a long time but I waited for the last moment and I don't like that, there is always something that goes wrong.
So I finished the necklace yesterday evening/night and the clasp fell and broke.
I tried to make another pair of earrings, one of the clear glass flower fell and broke.
So here is what I can show you.
And I will try to get a little more organized for the next challenges and hops.

I am glad you were able to move forward after some mishaps. Your pieces are great. Well done!
RépondreSupprimerI am not a big fan of doing things at the last moment either but I love the way your pieces have come out - particularly the earrings. They are so chic and can easily go from morning to evening looks
RépondreSupprimerHi Karin,
RépondreSupprimerThe necklace is beautiful and I love the earrings. Sorry you had some mishaps.
Therese
Sorry to hear you had so many mishaps but your designs turned out wonderful!
RépondreSupprimerI absolutely LOVE your designs...I would proudly wear those pieces. I would never have thought to brick stitch around the cylinder beads like that...I will have to remember that next time I work with that type of bead. Great Job...You were the victor among your mishaps.

RépondreSupprimerHi Karin, Your designs are wonderful. The seed beads around the ovals really make them stand out.
RépondreSupprimerHi Karin! If you were struggling, I couldn't tell!! Both pieces are lovely!!
RépondreSupprimerHi Karin! Your designs are absolutely gorgeous! I love them....Very creative!
RépondreSupprimerYour work is amazing. Sorry to hear that the process was not a smooth one!
RépondreSupprimerThat necklace is a stunner. I love it! The earrings are beautiful too. Last minute or not, you have a way with black and red!
RépondreSupprimerI love these earrings, Karen. Sometimes mishaps happen for a reason. These earrings wouldn't exist if you hadn't broken the Czech flower beads.
RépondreSupprimerHeureusement qu'après un petit moment d'énervement Karin a réussi à réparer le fermoir.
RépondreSupprimerFortunately , after a short moment of irritation Karin managed to fix the clasp
Karin - Your necklace and earrings are both outstanding! That brick stitch around the ovals looks superb. I always look forward to your creations. Thanks for being in the hop!
RépondreSupprimerAmazing necklace. Amazing!
RépondreSupprimerThe contrast of the small beads with the large bold colored large ones is wonderful ! Great necklace design.
RépondreSupprimerOne wouldn't be able to tell that you had issues with this challenge. Both designs are lovely but I am especially partial to those earrings. They are so striking!
RépondreSupprimerAwesome pieces in spite of your mishaps, Graet Job!
RépondreSupprimerI love those earrings!
RépondreSupprimerLove your designs, especially the necklace. What stitch did you use around the oval beads in the necklace? Really made it a stunning piece.
RépondreSupprimerStunning! Truly! Your beadwork beads are fabulous, and the earrings really pop! Mishaps?..not here!
