Blu Mudd Challenge #4

En novembre dernier, j'ai découvert les céramiques de Moriah Betterly de Blu Mudd. Depuis j'en ai acheté quelques unes, je ne vous dis pas quoi ni combien vous les verrez bien surgir ça et là.

Le mois dernier elle a proposé un défi… et j'ai résisté ou non, et bien non. 

Elle a donc envoyé aux participantes, un pendentif, un fermoir et des perles assorties. Evidemment, je n'ai pas pris de photos avant de les utiliser, mais vous les verrez en allant sur sa page Facebook.

J'ai donc reçu des perles dans des couleurs douces et un oiseau. Comme souvent en ce moment, j'ai voulu combiner les techniques et les matériaux, tout en gardant la thématique printanière.

J'ai d'abord tissé un cordon, puis j'ai assemblé le pendentif et lorsque j'ai voulu assemblé le fermoir…

la barre est tombée et s'est cassée. Arghhhhh!

J'ai donc tissé une barre, qui rappelle le cordon.

En plus du tissage, j'ai ajouté une perle en bois rappelant le fermoir, une perle en verre artisanale de Loupiac et deux perles en crystal.

Voici le résultat:

Last november, I discovered Moriah Betterly's ceramic components at Blu Mudd. Since then I've acquired some, I won't tell you what nor how many, you will see them pop here and there.

Last month, she offered a challenge. What do you think, could I resist or not? Of course not.

So, she sent the participants a pendant with matching beads and toggle clasp. Of course, I did not take any pictures before I used them, but you will see them on her Facebook page.

When I received the beads, in sweet tender colors and a bird, I knew I wanted to combine techniques and materials as I often do at the moment, and, I wanted to emphasize the spring theme.

So I first beaded a rope, maybe the twigs in a nest, or a branch,  added a flower shaped wooden bead echoing the toggle, a Loupiac lamp work glass bead for the color and two crystal beads.

When I started assembling the clasp, the bar fell… and broke. Arghhhh!

So I wove a bar, and here is the finished piece:
