Texture

Yesterday I started talking about the third lesson from the The Alchemy of Objects and I got distracted with my cocoon beads.
I did make a necklace, but not with my beads.
I didn't get really extravagant with my textures though.
I started from that little mother of pearl purse that had been sitting on my table for quite a while and I focused on techniques I don't really like, stringing and crimping. I'm always afraid the crimping will not last in time.
And I did some multi strand, there again not too multi, only two. That was enough to remind me how difficult it is to put all your elements together so that they keep in place and fall right!
I did and undid and redid, and here's what I ended doing.

Tiges / Head pins, Numinosity Beads
Perles de verre / Glass beads, Glass Bead Art

  1. What a lovely piece! I am pretty opposite - I am very scared of knotting that it will stretch over time and prefer crimping over it any day
