I come quite rarely over here and one of the reasons is that I'm totally blocked with my beads. They don't speak to me, they intimidate me.
I thought about taking just any beads coming my way and I would wire work a chain, but no way. I can't even choose any bead.
Too hot to knit.
And I need some immediate if not satisfaction, at least some kind of result.
I went through my craft supplies, and I could definitely open a craft store. I found paper, paint, ink, stamps, stencils…
I watched tons of videos, learning techniques.
I took everything out, and did whatever came to my mind or to my hands trying out everything.
It's not really pretty, although I like some of them, but I had so much fun playing like this! And looking back, I can see how you can relate to beads, designing, choosing colors, places...
I read somewhere that when you were blocked you should change medium, we'll see.
I will show you, I felt so good I decided to try out a Kizoa diaporama.
J'ai réessayé les perles, difficiles.
Laisser aller.
So I tried beads again. Difficult.
I have to let go.
Not think.
I chose a palette, took a lot out and started.
Voici le résultat:

Love, Love, Love what you made!!!
RépondreSupprimerThank you so much Mary!
SupprimerSome lovely effects you've got there with your card tags. And I love those earrings too: the bird houses give them a fixed point/stability that makes the whole work. Super stuff!
RépondreSupprimerI know the feeling - when I have a lot on my plate emotionally, it's really hard for things to flow. Too much else going on inside. I think surrendering to it is sometimes the way to go - just make, without judgement, and see what comes out. Sometimes (like here), some really magical things happen. I love the earrings especially!
RépondreSupprimerI love your tags. I think they are beautiful. Lots of wonderful variety. They seem to have done the trick somewhat because your earrings are magnificent! I hope your creativity continues.
RépondreSupprimerThe earrings are absolutely beautiful and I see some connections between them and your 2D artwork... switching mediums for a while does seem to reliably get the flow going again. It really really worked for you! I'm finding summer difficult too in the flow department - glad to know I'm not alone. xo
