Cabochons / Creating with cabochons

During the holidays I discovered the Create with cabochons challenge hosted by Sally Russick. I discovered it on the last day I could put my name on, and I didn't think too much. Cabochons, I love them!
A month later, back to my cabs, I didn't know what to do anymore. Too much choice.
I was tempted to try something  new like, making my own polymer clay cabochon or wirework to bezel stones.
In the end, I was not very brave and stayed in my field, embroidery and weaving.
But I chose cabochons that I really didn't know what to do with, to have to get out of my comfort zone.
The first one is a tainted druzy agate, on backing then bezeled and embellished with fringe, then I weaved a spiral rope and toggle clasp.
The second one is a round Vallauris ceramic cabochons  that I bezeled without backing in peyote stitch.
I added some flowery fringe and hung it from chain with a Bo Hulley  ceramic clasp.

  3. Très joli collier! (Hopefully I wrote that correctly. I won't attempt any more French though.)

This must have taken you so much time (and patience)! Lovely.

  8. Your beadwork is so precise!
The first necklace is so beautiful and with autumn approaching, I'm really drawn to it. I think your second necklace with the delicate colors of new foliage is ideal for spring.

  12. Gorgeous pieces I love how you drew the color of the druzy out with the bronze colored seed beads in your first piece. The simplicity of the beaded bezelon the second pendant was a perfect design for the clay cab.
