After assembling bright colors and beautiful art beads for my earring session, I felt like weaving beads again. On Beading Daily, I found a tutorial for a herringbone rope made with twin beads. I needed 40 g and I had 40 g so I started.
It is relatively fast to weave, quite broad but very supple, I think perfect for some of my bigger pendants.
As usual I wove the rope, chose the pendant and absolutely did not think or plan how to close it or how to attach the pendant.
So when I was done weaving, I tried many things to finally get to this necklace that is quite satisfying, but not totally.
I really need to learn to plan ahead or sketch or do something about that!

I also tried a new background for my photos. I like the slate but sometimes I think it is too dark. Old wood shows more the color, but I think it's a bit cold. What do you think?
I love the closure, Karin! It's very unique, eye-catching, modern and funky, and plays nicely against the bead luster! I saw this technique mentioned the other day, too..you've made me want to give it a try..I think I will! Beautiful piece!
