You must have noticed that I take part in many  blog hops. It's a great way to learn as the themes, the beads or the colors are not necessarily the ones with which I would choose to work. They force me to think differently, to imagine new ways to work with beads, to discover new techniques and materials, and above all,  I meet new people.
So I thought I would show you what was going to happen in july and august and the beads and themes I a going to play.
First, July 10, the Good Earth Challenge hosted by Andrew Thornton from The Writing and Art of  Andrew Thornton.
Here are the beads, and I haven't started yet!

Puis le 19 juillet, le Gemstone and Metal Blog Hop ( Pierres et Métal) organisé par Lisa Lodge de A Grateful Artist - Pine Ridge Treasures. Pour celui-ci tout est prêt.

Then July 19, the Gemstone and Metal Blog Hop hosted by Lisa Lodge from A Grateful Artist - Pine Rige Treasures. I finished all my pieces for this one.

August 2, Summer Carnival Blog Hop hosted by Lisa Lodge too.

Du bleu et du crystal...

Blue and crystal...

And as I had nothing to do, I just signed up for the Haberdashery Blog Hop hosted by Melissa Trudinger from Bead Recipes. It's on August 2 too?

And I was about to forget Dark Bloom on August 7 hosted by Andrew Thornton, but I haven't got the beads yet.
Finally, here is the last  batch of beads I made from Heather Powers online class.

  2. Karin, what a lovely blog post. I too have participated in many blog hops over the years. Apart from this last year when I chosen not to, for various reasons of private nature. But I do miss it. I totally agree with you and what you said:
"They force me to think differently, to imagine new ways to work with beads, to discover new techniques and materials, and above all, I meet new people."
I am sure I will get back to doing blog hops again, in a not too far future. Until then I simply enjoy following what others create. Like you for instance. I always love your creations and sense of design.
