Composant du mois / Component of the month

I was lucky to be chosen as one of the guest designers of December Component of the Month organized by Art Jewelry Element.
Every month a member of the team sends a handmade component to the others and some guest designers are randomly chosen to participate by leaving comments.
Then every one has to design a piece.
This month, I 'm in it!
So I received a component by Rebekah Payne from Tree Wings Studio and I got to choose the color.
When it arrived, first I loved it, then I immediately thought of Australian Aboriginal art I had seen. All those dots, the earthy colors, the whirlwind shape make it very organic.
So I decided to make a simple bracelet to focus on the bead and those characteristics. I chose wooden beads, copper, Tibetan prayer beads, glass heath in the same colors to show earth, roundness, warmth and serenity.

I really enjoyed working with Rebekah's component and I think I will go on, I have some of her beads in my stash…

  9. Simplicity is sometimes best—your bracelet is beautiful Karin! The smaller beads linked together are such a nice delicate contrast to the chunkiness of the speckle bead and I really love how your beaded clasp ring mimics the dots. Thank you so much for playing along!
