Défi voyage / Challenge of Travel

J'y vis depuis treize ans.

For this challenge I travelled in the place I sometimes don't see anymore, and looked at it with new eyes to show you how special it is.
It is organised by Erin Prais-Hintz  on her website Treasures Found: Inspiration is everywhere.
I chose the Parc de la Villette , in Paris (France) which is exactly where I live.
They were former slaughter houses, transformed from 1980 to 2000 into an urban parc.
I've spent hours with the children, walking and playing in the different playgrounds.
We spent hours in the Science Museum experimenting.
We went to the Circus, listened to concerts, saw plays, attended workshops...
Now, I spend hours walking Nikkie.
And this is when I really discovered the parc.

Tout d'abord quelques lieux emblématiques,
First of all, the immediately recognizable places in the parc

La Géode (Cinema)
Le canal et les folies rouges/ The canal and the red follies

Bold colors, blue, red, geometric lines, metal and different urban greys.

 Et puis l'insolite:
And then, the unusual:
Le sous-marin / the submarine
Salle de concert/Concert hall

Fresques de la maison de laVillette /  Murals

Le vélo enterré/ The burried bicycle

Et pas de parc sans nature,
D'abord domestiquée:

And no parc without nature,
first tamed:

And then, the wild, hidden or obvious, changing, luxuriant, blazing nature:

I follow the seasons, with the Ginkgo Biloba trees:

Je guette les coquelicots:
I track poppies:

De nuit, il s'illumine:
At night, lights go on:

And in the morning it wakes up again:

After this little trip in the Parc de la Villette, in the North East of Paris, here is what it inspired me:

Metal chain and rings, ceramic beads by Happy Fallout, glass beads,  pewter ship toggle clasp by Mamacita Beadworks and beaded spiral woven by me.
Red, blue, green and grey, metal, roughness, roundness, abundance and sleekness.
A path to follow, but where you can stop any place.
A necklace whose focal element you can choose according to wish or mood.
