Je suis venu à bout du kit Emerald Isle de The Curious Bead Shop.
Ne reste plus que le cordon de lin ciré. Pour plus tard.
Voila ce que j'ai fait:

I used up all the beads in the Emerald Isle kit from the Curious Bead Shop.
I've only got the waxed linen cord left. I'll keep it for later.

Ginkgo et chouette / Ginkgo and owl

Défi d'octobre de Art Bead Scene, vous commencez à être habitué.
J'aime ce défi, parcequ'il m'oblige à partir d'une oeuvre, de couleurs, de formes que je n'aurai pas forcément choisis.
Ce mois-ci, je ne pouvais pas laisser passer, des feuilles de ginkgo et une chouette. Je me suis dit que c'était un thème pour moi.
Mais pour tout vous dire, j'ai eu du mal à trouver des perles, une construction qui me plaise et qui rende justice à la délicatesse du tableau.
Peut-être les couleurs...


October Art Bead Scene Challenge, you should be used to it by now.
I like this challenge because I have to work from a painting, colors, shapes that I sometimes would not have chosen otherwise.
This month, I had to do it, ginkgo leaves, and an owl. I thought it was perfect for me.
But I have to tell you, I had trouble finding beads and a design that would please me and would do the subtlety of the painting justice.
Maybe it was the colors...

Je suis partie de la branche et j'ai trouvé ce grand pendentif connecteur en céramique de Elaine Ray et sa perle assortie.
Des chouettes, j'en ai beaucoup, de toutes couleurs, formes et matières. J'ai choisi une des plus petite mais celle qui amenait de la rondeur, de Green Girl Studios, des perles en verre artisanales de Studio Juls pour la couleur et enfin la feuille de ginkgo.
Je vous l'avais déjà montré quand je l'ai acheté aux puces à Berlin cet été. C'est une véritable feuille  de ginkgo, recouverte de cuivre.
Pour finir des pierres de labradorite, un fermoir en nacre, du lin pour le côté naturel.

I started from the branch and I found this big ceramic Elaine Ray connector with a matching bead.
I've got tons of owls in all sorts of colors, shapes and materials. I chose one of the smallest and the one that brought roundness from Green Girl Studios, then some glass beads from Studio Juls for the color and finally the ginkgo leaf.
I have already shown it to you when I bought it at the flea market in Berlin this summer. It's a real ginkgo leaf covered with copper.
And to finish with the natural aspect, labradorite beads, mother of pearl toggle and linen cord.

Rond et vert / Round and green

Aujourd'hui, c'est vert avec une petite touche Art Déco.
Je vais utiliser ces grosses perles vertes et bronze irrégulières et transparentes (toujours le kit Emerald Isle).
Elles méritent d'autres perles spéciales. Une perle en céramique Golem Studio avec des motifs ronds, de la chaîne à gros maillons ovales et ... ronds.
Une perle blanche et ... ronde.
Un fermoir rond.

Today, it's green with a slight Art Deco touch.
I'm going to use those chunky green and bronze transparent  beads (I'm still on Emerald Isle).
They deserve some special beads. A Golem Studio ceramic bead with round motifs, some chain with big oval and ... round links.
A white and ... round bead.
A round toggle clasp.

Artistes

Certaines personnes créent des perles qui sont des oeuvres d'art.
Mary Harding en fait partie. J'ai déjà montré certaines de ses perles ici et là.
J'en utilise deux pour venir à bout de mon kit The Curious Bead Shop, car celui du mois de novembre vient d'arriver. 

Some people create beads that are works of art.
Mary Harding is one of them. I've already shown some of her beads here and there.
I'm using two  of her tiles to use up my Curious Bead Shop kit, as the new one has just arrived.

Et j'en ai reçu quelques nouvelles, en céramique et en cuivre

Scarabés

Il y a quelques temps j'ai acheté ces cabochons en verre.
Des scarabés avec des inscriptions, des couleurs étonnantes, moutarde, turquoise et marron. Ce turquoise qui me rappelle certaines  perles du kit Emerald isle de The Curious Bead Shop qu'il faudrait que j'utilise car je sais que le prochain est en route.
Le temps passe vite!
J'ai donc tissé une paire de boucles d'oreilles.

Some time ago, I bought some glass cabochons. Scarabs with signs, surprising colors, mustard yellow, turquoise and brown. And this turquoise reminds me of some Emerald isle beads from the Curious Bead Shop, which I should use  because I know that the next kit is on its way.
Time flies!
So I wove a pair of earrings.

Tree Wings Studio
